Ben Goldstein and Phillip Namanworth have been writing songs together since they met in college. They wrote the landmark ballet Caviar, which was performed by Louis Falco and his dance company at The New York Shakespeare Festival in Central Park and at the Ante Theater on Broadway. They are the authors of the award-winning musicals Looice and The Adventures of Guess Again, which were performed at the Eugene O’Neill Conference and The Public Theatre and ran for ten years in repertory with The First all Children’s Theatre. They have written more than thirty songs for Sesame Street. Their songs have sold millions of copies and been heard in countries throughout the world.
The Secret of Our Souls was inspired by the legends of the Baal Shem Tov and by the teachings of the many brilliant rabbis Ben and Phillip met since they began studying Chassidus more than twenty years ago.
